This is a process of grouping players based on the attributes associated with growth and maturity, rather than chronological age.

However, we are committed to creating and developing our Academy with progressive independent sessions for all within our female game, albeit that they will run at the same venue and time, as we wholeheartedly welcome the opportunity to coach all young players equally without discrimination.

Yes, as we encourage you to maximise your potential. You should enjoy the freedom to play with other players of your choice while we continue to develop you as a player, which will benefit you as an individual and importantly your own team performance.

Yes, parents/carers are welcome to watch any of our sessions however, you must respect and adhere to all our existing NESS Academy policies.

We welcome and encourage you to attend and participate within a FREE Taster Session, with a view to ensuring that the appropriate program is selected. Due to limited spaces and programs on offer, we do have Monthly Memberships, offering One, Two, or Three evenings per week, (delivered per School Term Time) which runs throughout the academic year. Each session will take place outdoors, therefore players require weather appropriate clothing, football boots, shinguards, a water bottle, enthusiasm and a smile!

Absolutely! We accept people with all levels of skills and goals. You could be part of our Progressive Pathways program, starting with our enjoyable NESS Play program.

There are numerous but importantly, respect is given to each participant. We endeavour to understand the needs of each individual, while providing a safe, welcoming, enjoyable and positive environment in which each feels an important part. We hope that this will nurture high values, and opportunity for appropriate progressive development pathways which will benefit confidence, improve technical skills and enable a better understanding of the overall game with better outcomes for both the Player and their respective Club.

Informal feedback can be given, with comprehensive periodic written reports issued (on request) with our Inspire and Aspire Programs, and the opportunity to engage within our NESS 360 Player Management Program.

We have made great progress, and due to the overwhelming commitment of our existing members at all ages, it is our intention to arrange friendly games against appropriate opponents when possible.

At NESS Academy we are keen to help develop and mentor individuals who want to coach, having ensured that they meet all current criteria with regards to suitability and relevant checks etc. Please contact us for further information.

Are boys and girls coached together?

Will I be playing with players my own age?
Age ranges are highlighted for each program, with Bio-Banding consideration. This is where, on occasion, players may be grouped on attributes associated with ability, growth and maturation, rather than just chronological age.

How much does it cost?
A one-off payment, £35.00 joining membership fee and a £36.00 payment to be paid monthly thereafter in alignment with the original joining date. Can I still play for my school and club?
Yes, as we encourage you to maximise your potential. You should enjoy the freedom to play with other players of your choice while we continue to develop you as a player, which will benefit you as an individual and importantly your own team performance.

Can I watch my kids being coached?
Yes, parents/carers are welcome to watch any of our sessions however, you must respect and adhere to all existing policies and in particular, the most up to date Coronavirus policy.


How do I know which program is best for me?

The content of each program is detailed on our Programs Page, but should you have any specific queries or preferences, please drop us an email by completing our contact form, (also on our Home Page) as we are here to help you find the most appropriate session that you will enjoy.

Can I just book one session, or is it just block sessions?
We welcome and encourage you to attend and participate within a FREE Taster Session, with a view to ensuring that the appropriate program is selected. Due to limited spaces and programs on offer, we do have Monthly Memberships, either as a Full Member (2 weekly sessions delivered per School Term Time) and an alternative Associate Membership (1 weekly session delivered per School Term Time) which runs throughout the academic year. The Academy Program costs are paid on a monthly basis so that it is spread at an affordable cost over the year.
We also have a specific themed “Pass Program” which incorporates a variety of sessions and costs, which will address the issue of restricted family time, or commitment, becoming a problematic issue. Our primary aim is to be flexible and accommodating in order to meet your requirements.


I would love to be part of an Academy, but I am not looking to go into a football career, can I still join?

Absolutely! We accept people with all levels of skills and goals. You could be part of our Progressive Pathways program, starting with our enjoyable NESS Play program.

Yes we do. We can offer Individual based coaching in various elements of your game and you could also be part of our Aspire Program which offers Advanced Training.
